Browser Permissions
Learn how to change microphone, sound, and camera settings in various browsers to ensure proper functionality and permissions for Orbit.
Desktop Browsers
Google Chrome (Recommended)
Microphone Settings:
Click the icon to the left of the URL in the address bar.
Select "Site settings."
Find “Microphone” near the top of the page.
Select the drop-down menu and change the permission to "Allow."
Sound Settings:
Click the icon to the left of the URL in the address bar.
Select "Site settings."
Find “Sound” near the top of the page.
Select the drop-down menu and change the permission to "Allow."
Camera Settings:
Click the icon to the left of the URL in the address bar.
Select "Site settings."
Find “Camera” near the top of the page.
Select the drop-down menu and change the permission to "Allow."
Microsoft Edge
Microphone Settings:
Click the lock icon on the left of the URL.
Select "Permissions for this site" from the dropdown menu.
At the top of the page find “Microphone.”
On the right, select the drop-down menu and select “Allow.”
Sound Settings:
Click the three dots in the top right corner of Microsoft Edge.
Select "Settings."
On the left, find and select “Cookies and site permissions.”
Scroll down to find and select “Media autoplay.”
Camera Settings:
Click the lock icon on the left of the URL.
Select "Permissions for this site" from the dropdown menu.
At the top of the page find “Camera.”
On the right, select the drop-down menu and select “Allow.”
Brave
Microphone Settings:
Click the lock icon on the left of the URL.
Select "Site settings" from the dropdown menu.
Find “Microphone.”
On the right, select the drop-down menu and select “Allow.”
Sound Settings:
Click the lock icon on the left of the URL.
Select "Site settings" from the dropdown menu.
Find “Sound.”
On the right, select the drop-down menu and select “Allow.”
Camera Settings:
Click the lock icon on the left of the URL.
Select "Site settings" from the dropdown menu.
Find “Camera.”
On the right, select the drop-down menu and select “Allow.”
Firefox
Microphone Settings:
Click the menu button (three horizontal lines) at the top-right corner.
Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.
In the Settings tab, select "Privacy & Security" from the sidebar.
Scroll down to the "Permissions" section.
Click the "Settings..." button for Microphone.
Select "Save changes."
Sound Settings:
Click the menu button (three horizontal lines) at the top-right corner.
Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.
In the Settings tab, select "Privacy & Security" from the sidebar.
Scroll down to the "Permissions" section.
Click the "Settings..." button for Speaker Selection.
Select "Save changes."
Camera Settings:
Click the menu button (three horizontal lines) at the top-right corner.
Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.
In the Settings tab, select "Privacy & Security" from the sidebar.
Scroll down to the "Permissions" section.
Click the "Settings..." button for Camera.
Select "Save changes."
Opera
Microphone Settings:
Click the lock icon on the left of the URL.
Select "Site settings" from the dropdown menu.
Find “Microphone.”
On the right, select the drop-down menu and select “Allow.”
Sound Settings:
Click the lock icon on the left of the URL.
Select "Site settings" from the dropdown menu.
Find “Sound.”
On the right, select the drop-down menu and select “Allow.”
Camera Settings:
Click the lock icon on the left of the URL.
Select "Site settings" from the dropdown menu.
Find “Camera.”
On the right, select the drop-down menu and select “Allow.”
Opera GX
Microphone Settings:
Click the lock icon on the left of the URL.
Select "Site settings" from the dropdown menu.
Find “Microphone.”
On the right, select the drop-down menu and select “Allow.”
Sound Settings:
Click the lock icon on the left of the URL.
Select "Site settings" from the dropdown menu.
Find “Sound.”
On the right, select the drop-down menu and select “Allow.”
Camera Settings:
Click the lock icon on the left of the URL.
Select "Site settings" from the dropdown menu.
Find “Camera.”
On the right, select the drop-down menu and select “Allow.”
Safari
Microphone Settings:
Open Safari and navigate to the website for which you want to change the microphone settings.
Click "Safari" in the top menu bar.
Select "Settings for This Website..."
In the pop-up window, find the "Microphone" option.
Click the dropdown menu next to "Microphone" and select "Allow."
Sound Settings:
Open Safari and navigate to the website for which you want to change the sound settings.
Click "Safari" in the top menu bar.
Select "Settings for This Website..."
In the pop-up window, find the "Auto-Play" option.
Click the dropdown menu next to "Auto-Play" and select "Allow All Auto-Play."
Camera Settings:
Open Safari and navigate to the website for which you want to change the camera settings.
Click "Safari" in the top menu bar.
Select "Settings for This Website..."
In the pop-up window, find the "Camera" option.
Click the dropdown menu next to "Camera" and select "Allow."
Mobile/Tablet Browsers
Google Chrome (Recommended)
Microphone Settings:
Open the web page tab.
Tap the three-dot icon in the top right.
Select "Settings."
Scroll down to find "Site settings."
Find and select "Microphone."
Turn off the option to allow the sites to "Ask first before allowing sites to use your microphone."
Sound Settings:
Open the web page tab.
Tap the three-dot icon in the top right.
Select "Settings."
Scroll down to find "Site settings."
Find and select "Sound."
Turn on the option to "Allow sites to play sound."
Camera Settings:
Open the web page tab.
Tap the three-dot icon in the top right.
Select "Settings."
Scroll down to find "Site settings."
Find and select "Camera."
Turn off the option to allow the sites to "Ask first before allowing sites to use your camera."
Microsoft Edge
Microphone Settings:
Tap the three horizontal lines in the bottom right of the screen.
Select "Settings."
Select "Privacy and security."
Select "Site settings."
Select "Microphone."
Turn off the option to allow the sites to "Ask first before allowing sites to use your microphone."
If this does not work, follow these steps:
Tap "Android settings" under where you have the option to allow sites to ask first (from the previous step 6).
Select "Permissions."
Select "Microphone."
Then select "Allow only while using the app."
Sound Settings:

Select "Settings."
Select "Privacy and security."
Select "Site settings."
Scroll down to find and select "Sound."
Turn on the option to "Allow sites to play sound."
Camera Settings:
Tap the three horizontal lines in the bottom right of the screen.
Select "Settings."
Select "Privacy and security."
Select "Site settings."
Select "Camera."
Turn off the option to allow the sites to "Ask first before allowing sites to use your camera."

Microphone Settings:
Tap the three dots in the bottom right.
Scroll down to find and select "Settings."
Scroll down to find and select "Site settings."
Select "Microphone."
Turn off the option "Ask first before allowing sites to use your microphone."
Sound Settings:
Tap the three dots in the bottom right.
Scroll down to find and select "Settings."
Scroll down to find and select "Site settings."
Scroll down to find and select "Auto-play."
Turn off the setting to "Allow sites to play muted videos."
Camera Settings:
Tap the three dots in the bottom right.
Scroll down to find and select "Settings."
Scroll down to find and select "Site settings."
Select "Camera."
Turn off the option "Ask first before allowing sites to use your camera."
Firefox
Microphone Settings:
Tap the three dots in the top right.
Select “Settings.”
Scroll down to find and select “Site permissions.”
Select “Microphone.”
Turn off “Ask to allow.”
Sound Settings:
Tap the three dots in the top right.
Select “Settings.”
Scroll down to find and select “Site permissions.”
Select “Auto play back.”
Turn on “Allow audio and video.”
Camera Settings:
Tap the three dots in the top right.
Select “Settings.”
Scroll down to find and select “Site permissions.”
Select “Camera.”
Turn off “Ask to allow.”
If this does not work, follow these steps:
Tap "Go to settings" under where you have the option to allow sites to ask first (from the previous step 6).
Select "Permissions."
Select "Camera."
Then select "Allow only while using the app."
Opera
Microphone Settings:
In the bottom right, tap the profile icon.
Tap the settings cog icon on the top right of the pop-up.
Find and select “Privacy and security.”
Select “Site permissions.”
Select “Microphone.”
Turn off “Ask every time” setting.
Sound Settings:
In the bottom right, tap the profile icon.
Tap the settings cog icon on the top right of the pop-up.
Find and select “Privacy and security.”
Select “Site permissions.”
Select “Sound.”
Turn off “Ask every time” setting.
Camera Settings:
In the bottom right, tap the profile icon.
Tap the settings cog icon on the top right of the pop-up.
Find and select “Privacy and security.”
Select “Site permissions.”
Select “Camera.”
Turn off “Ask every time” setting.
Safari
Microphone Settings:
Open Safari and navigate to the website for which you want to change the microphone settings.
Tap the "aA" icon in the address bar.
Select "Website Settings."
In the pop-up window, find the "Microphone" option.
Tap on the "Microphone" option and select "Allow."
Sound Settings:
Open Safari and navigate to the website for which you want to change the sound settings.
Tap the "aA" icon in the address bar.
Select "Website Settings."
In the pop-up window, find the "Auto-Play" option.
Tap on the "Auto-Play" option and select "Allow All Auto-Play."
Camera Settings:
Open Safari and navigate to the website for which you want to change the camera settings.
Tap the "aA" icon in the address bar.
Select "Website Settings."
In the pop-up window, find the "Camera" option.
Tap on the "Camera" option and select "Allow."
